We’re looking for a Facilities Apprentice (Grade 5) to join the Facilities team at Elexon on a 24‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a fully office‑based role, and you’ll be required to work from our London office five days a week. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in Facilities Management, gaining hands‑on experience while studying towards the IWFM Level 2 Facilities Services qualification. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll develop practical skills across workplace services, office operations, health and safety, customer service, and facilities administration, building the knowledge and confidence needed to progress into a Facilities Assistant role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day‑to‑day delivery of Facilities Management services
  • Assist with meeting room set‑up, catering, room layouts, and AV equipment
  • Support reception, visitor management, post, deliveries, and document services
  • Replenish office stationery, consumables, and workplace supplies
  • Assist with new starter, mover, and leaver activities, including desk set‑up
  • Support the planning and delivery of internal events
  • Carry out routine workplace and health & safety checks, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Coordinate maintenance requests with contractors and suppliers
  • Provide excellent customer service to colleagues, visitors, and contractors
  • Learn Facilities Management best practice while completing the IWFM Level 2 qualification
