Do you have a commitment to making a difference to women’s lives? Are you passionate about supporting women in a holistic, trauma‑informed way to divert them from the criminal justice system and to achieve long‑term lasting change? As an Apprentice Keyworker you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to women involved in or at risk of the criminal justice system due to experiencing multiple and complex needs. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will learn and develop essential skills through the Adult Care Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
- Undertake client needs assessment and work with clients to develop, implement, and review gender‑responsive support plans.
- Case‑manage and key‑work assigned clients, providing practical and emotional support.
- Build close working relationships with statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure effective collaborative multi‑agency working.
- Attend family and/or criminal court with clients, whether as offenders or victims.
- Facilitate group interventions.
- Successfully complete the Adult Care Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Qualifications
- Lived experience of the criminal justice system; or mental health or other associated vulnerabilities, declared on the application.
- Good level of general education, including English and Maths.
- Awareness of trauma‑informed approaches to working with women.
- Knowledge of relevant local services and women’s entitlements and the ability to signpost clients to appropriate services.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, and act on own initiative.
- Experience of adhering to organisational policies, especially child and adult safeguarding.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with a wide range of people.

- Salary: £24,500 per annum pro rata.
- Hours: 28 hours per week (9am – 5pm, 4 days per week).
