Overview
Senior Care Assistant – Location: Richmond Village Nantwich, St Joseph’s Way, London Road, CW5 6LZ. Salary: £14.70 per hour with excellent benefits. Contract: Permanent with full and part-time options. Shift pattern: Days 06:45–14:45 or 13:00–21:00; weekends on rota. Bupa supports those when they need it the most, delivering person-centred care and encouraging independence and choice for residents.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day running of a unit and all clinical duties in the home, including observation, medication administration, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping.
- Handle all CQC responsibilities in collaboration with the team.
- Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers.
- Assist with training and supervision of new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
- Build relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
- Assist residents with a range of personal care duties.
Qualifications
- You should have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care. Support for completing the qualification is available.
- A DBS check is required as part of the recruitment process; Bupa will cover the cost (£40).
Training and Development
Induction on start, followed by ongoing training and development including access to apprenticeships and an online portal with resources to aid personal development. Access to LinkedIn Learning is included.
