Clinical Support Worker – Infant Feeding Team

As an Infant feeding clinical support worker you will be working primarily on the Maternity ward in a clinical setting. You will provide evidence‑based knowledge and information for all aspects of infant feeding and act as a resource and support for mothers and midwifery staff in the initiation, establishment and maintenance of breast feeding and artificial feeding.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based knowledge and information for infant feeding.
• Support mothers and midwifery staff in initiating, establishing and maintaining breast feeding and artificial feeding.
• Act as a resource and support for mothers and staff in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Infant feeding experience within a maternity setting, or relevant infant feeding experience in another area.
• Basic general education and a current NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Health Care or the equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
• Commitment to undertake relevant qualifications.
