Job Description:

We are keen to attract Clinical Care Navigators who are looking for new challenges and opportunities. This post will support the GP service in the Urgent Treatment Centre based in Emergency Care. The centre is extremely busy; you’ll be exposed to caring for different groups of patients and may be required to assist the Accident and Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

  • Act as front‑line Clinical/Clerical support, supporting the patient journey through the Urgent Treatment Centre.
  • Provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, and removal of urinary catheter (training will be provided).
  • Complete the induction course and all Trust statutory/mandatory training.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using your own initiative and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Contribute fully as a member of the multi‑disciplinary team and help make a real difference for patients.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Clinical Support Worker (hospital experience desirable but not essential).
  • Minimum GCSE in English and Maths grade C or 4, or equivalent functional skills.
  • Well‑motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
