Job Summary
A vacancy has become available within the Infrastructure Team for a Digital Infrastructure Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking team of skilled technicians, dedicated to maintaining a robust, high‑performing, and modern ICT infrastructure.
The Digital Infrastructure Technician will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the NSFT Trust’s IT infrastructure, leading the implementation, support, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of core digital systems.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Digital Services such as Service Desk, Field Support and Systems teams, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality digital services. Part‑time secondment opportunities may also be available.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will support and deploy a range of technologies, including Microsoft server operating systems, Cisco networking and telephony equipment, Azure cloud services, SQL databases and Veeam backup solutions. The role also involves leading technical aspects of infrastructure projects, implementing new technologies and demonstrating a proactive attitude toward learning and supporting emerging systems.
The candidate must be able to familiarise themselves quickly with existing systems, respond effectively to diverse support needs and communicate solutions clearly. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites across Norfolk and Suffolk is required.
Interview Process
The interview will include four technical competency‑based questions followed by a 30‑minute technical assessment.

Job responsibilities
The role includes operational duties and active participation in Digital Services projects, requiring strong organisational skills, initiative and effective communication. A commitment to teamwork and continuous service improvement is essential.
Qualifications
- Educated at degree level in an ICT subject or equivalent
- Industry recognised Technical ICT qualification (e.g. CCNA, MCSE)
- ITILv4 Foundation
Desirable qualifications
- Specialist industry technical qualifications from major vendors such as Cisco, VMWare, Microsoft, SQL, Solarwinds, Veeam
Experience
- Providing infrastructure support within a large multisite / location environment
- Collaborating with project managers for delivery of infrastructure projects
Other requirements
- Full UK Driving License
