We are currently recruiting for a dependable and safety-focused FLT Operative / Production Operative to support our client’s busy recycling operation in Rugby. This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced production environment, combining forklift driving with manual operational duties.
This role is split approximately 50% FLT work and 50% manual production work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied and active position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate FLT equipment to move materials around site
- Operate baling machinery as part of production processes
- Support recycling and production targets through efficient material handling
- Carry out manual handling and general production duties as required
- Follow all health & safety procedures and safe systems of work (SSOW)
- Report hazards, defects, or unsafe behaviour immediately
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid external FLT licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a recycling, production, warehouse, or industrial environment (preferred)
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Comfortable with a 50/50 split between FLT and manual work
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety‑conscious attitude
- Ability to work night shifts on a rotating 4 on / 4 off pattern
