Nursery Key Worker, Qualified, Gaelic Medium, Balivanich Nursery (5660)

Position: 30.25 hours per week (term‑time, permanent). Salary: £23,035 – £25,175 per annum, inclusive of £2,117 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.

Job description: Through the medium of Gaelic, you will plan a curriculum that supports and guides children’s all‑round learning and development, and plan and organise play sessions that take into account the needs of each child.

• Plan curriculum with a Gaelic‑medium approach.
• Guide and support children’s learning and development.
• Organise play sessions that consider each child’s needs.
• Coordinate with teams and meet environmental goals.

Qualifications

• Proven childcare experience working with young children and their families in an early‑years setting.
• Qualification that meets the Scottish Social Services Council (SCSC) requirements for Practitioners.
• Ability to speak and read Gaelic.

Legal & Eligibility

Must hold a valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certification or be able to obtain one.
