Overview
Support Worker positions (Full‑time and Part‑time) are available with Scottish Borders Housing Support Services located in Longnewton near St Boswells.
Salary: £28,664.06–£29,702.32 per year (pro rata based on a 39‑hour week). Job reference: SW‑SB‑616.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the positive health and well‑being of people supported, enabling them to lead meaningful lives.
- Encourage independence and support individuals to live as independently as possible.
- Develop and maintain strong, caring relationships with service users.
- Work within policy and procedure to deliver high quality care and support.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience not essential; passion for supporting autistic people and a positive attitude are required.
- Ability to travel reliably to and from the site independently, as the service is remote with limited public transport.
- Must register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or an equivalent regulatory body.
