A wonderfully led and resourced Primary School in Redbridge, London are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join them in September 2026 on a full time basis to work with children who have additional needs and need additional nurturing and support to make their school experience as positive as possible!

Experience and Skills

Experience of supporting any of the following needs would be an advantage:

  • ADHD
  • Autism (ASD)
  • Asperger Syndrome
  • Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Global Delay
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Challenging Behaviour

Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Would:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children with SEN
  • Be driven to improve the education and life chances of children and young people
  • Be able to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Be a positive role model and offer encouragement & promote confidence
  • Assist with planning of activities with class teacher & SENCO
  • Help with general class teaching assistant duties

We welcome both graduates and experienced Teaching Assistants. The primary school will offer excellent training and support and can pave a pathway to a long‑term career in working with children with SEN such as Teacher training, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Social work, to name a few careers.
