Learning Support Assistant – Hackney

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with secondary schools across Hackney to recruit experienced Learning Support Assistants who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. The Role

You will provide targeted support to students requiring additional assistance to access the curriculum, ensuring they can participate fully in school life and make strong academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with a range of learning needs
• Delivering intervention sessions and academic support
• Working closely with teaching staff and SENCOs
• Encouraging student independence and confidence
• Supporting classroom engagement and behaviour
• Helping students achieve individual learning goals

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive education
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Positive and proactive attitude
• Commitment to supporting young people’s development
