Overview

Fixed term contract: Maternity cover – commencing November 2026

Location: Hybrid with minimum one day per week in Crewe, Cheshire

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant and HR Administrator looking for an organisation with purpose, where your work makes a difference to vulnerable children every day.

Working closely with the Group CEO and the Director of People and Culture, this multi-faceted role will provide opportunities to be involved in all aspects of the work of the CEO office and People and Culture initiatives, across all of our work in India, Tanzania and the UK.

You will be the primary contact for internal and external communications with the CEO and our Trustees, whilst also meticulously administering our governance responsibilities and processes.

You will provide professional and confidential business support, coordinating the activities of the Group CEO and administering HR processes such as recruitment. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in the organisation of specific Group projects, giving you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in all areas of the charity.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary contact for internal and external communications with the CEO and Trustees, and support governance processes.
  • Provide professional and confidential business support to the Group CEO and the People and Culture team.
  • Coordinate HR processes such as recruitment and onboarding.
  • Support organisation-wide projects and initiatives across the charity (India, Tanzania, and the UK).

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant and HR Administrator, with a track record of supporting senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels while maintaining high discretion.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with charity governance processes is advantageous.
  • Tenacious with excellent attention to detail, able to prioritise workload and work autonomously.
