Personal Assistant – Stow – 3150

Vacancy Information

A lovely gentleman living at home near Stow requires a PA to provide structured, meaningful support that focuses on accessing community groups, increasing activity levels and maintaining emotional wellbeing. This will also allow his caring wife a break.

2.5 hours per week, ideally to support accessing the community, go for walks then have coffee and cake. Throughout this support the PA should encourage this client to engage in conversation and interact to maintain mood and ability to initiate conversation.

Due to location being a driver is essential for this role.

Terms

• Hours per week – 2.5 hours (flexible)
• Preferably on a Friday though days and times can be discussed
• £14.00 per hour
• Mileage up to 45p per mile
• Paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG membership

• To support client to ensure their safety and wellbeing
• Engage the client in meaningful conversation
• Increase client’s activity levels
• To develop a meaningful relationship with the client and his family

Skills and Experience

• Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role. Some knowledge and experience of working with Parkinson’s would be advantageous.
