Your Role as Head of Service – Improvement, Assurance and Reforms (Principal Social Worker):
- Lead high-quality social work practice, setting standards and improving safeguarding outcomes
- Drive CQC readiness, audit frameworks, and continuous service improvement
- Shape workforce strategy including recruitment, retention, and wellbeing initiatives
- Oversee performance, budgets, and large-scale transformation programmes
- Represent the authority at regional and national level, championing innovation and best practice
Your previous experience as Head of Service – Improvement, Assurance and Reforms (Principal Social Worker):
- Proven senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care
- Strong knowledge of Care Act legislation and CQC frameworks
- Demonstrable success delivering quality assurance and service improvement
- Experience managing performance, budgets, and strategic programmes
- Qualified Social Worker with extensive Local Authority experience
