Project: Large-Scale IMOS Implementation (including custom build)

Location: London (hybrid 3 days pe week)

Contract: 6 month initial contract (multi-year programme)

X4 Technology are partnered with a leading energy trading firm in the shipping and commodities space to hire a contract Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing for a large-scale IMOS maritime system covering freight, chartering, operations, voyage P&L, emissions and profitability.

This is a programme-level role focused on quality, risk management and go-live readiness across critical freight, chartering, voyage execution, bunker, and financial processes – providing independent assurance to senior stakeholders while balancing delivery pace with strong testing governance.

Responsibilities for the Contract Test Manager (Commodities)

  • Programme-wide test strategy and governance across IMOS and custom-built components
  • Leadership of large-scale UAT across chartering, voyage execution, freight economics and operations
  • End-to-end testing across integrated systems including financials, settlement and reporting
  • Assurance of custom-built functionality and its interaction with core IMOS workflows
  • Defect management and quality control across a complex multi-system landscape
  • Go-live readiness, cutover support and transition into hypercare

Requirements for the Contract Test Manager (Commodities)

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager on large, complex trading, logistics or shipping programmes
  • Strong knowledge of freight/shipping operations, ideally with IMOS exposure
  • Experience delivering SIT, UAT and non-functional testing at scale
  • Background in testing bespoke solutions alongside vendor platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and influence at senior level
