Head of Commercial Finance

Forge Talent are proud to be partnering with a leading consumer-focused retail and e-commerce business to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance. This is a high-level opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth organisation where finance plays a central role in driving commercial performance and strategic decision-making.

The Role

Working with senior leadership, you will take ownership of the brand P&L, providing commercial insight and financial leadership across a dynamic trading environment. Working closely with key stakeholders across Trading, Product and Marketing, you will help shape business performance, identify opportunities for growth and support strategic decision-making at pace.

• Own and manage the full brand P&L, driving performance and profitability
• Partner with senior leadership to influence commercial and strategic decisions
• Deliver timely financial insight, identifying risks and opportunities across the business
• Support and challenge trading performance through robust analysis and reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
• Provide commercial support for growth initiatives, new categories and channel expansion opportunities
• Drive improvements in reporting, automation and data quality
• Maintain strong financial controls and governance across the business
• Partner with operational teams to manage costs, working capital and cash performance
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team while contributing to wider group finance initiatives

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Significant post-qualified finance experience within retail, e-commerce or a fast-paced consumer environment
• Proven experience partnering with commercial and trading teams
• Strong financial planning, analysis and reporting expertise
• Experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills with strong systems and BI reporting capability
• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of trading and business performance drivers
• Able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, constantly evolving environment
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach
