About the Role

As a member of our driving team, you will be the public face of Royal Mail and an established part of the community. Much of your day will be spent driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers, Post Offices and transporting mail between our Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times. Part of the role will be loading and unloading your van and sorting it into correct onward distribution.

About You

Upbeat and self‑motivated, you will be comfortable working alone as well as in a team, with a strong sense of community. You will enjoy flexible shift patterns, working outdoors, and walking. Some experience in a customer‑facing role would be ideal.

Driving Licence Requirements

A C1 Category licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no TT99 endorsement is essential. You must have obtained your Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and hold a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training, and be able to present your Digital Tachograph Card.

Pay and Benefits

You will be paid weekly, plus overtime and shift allowance if applicable.

Salary: £646.75 per week pro rata

Hours of work:

  • Monday 15:40 – 19:40
  • Saturday 04:00 – 16:45
  • Sunday 06:30 – 16:30
