About the role

We are looking for someone with experience and an interest in the Reception Administrator role who would enjoy working with a vibrant team and inspiring amazing children in the school in Cambridge City.

The role is full time Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • To represent the school in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer general telephone and face-to-face enquiries and sign in visitors
  • Liaise with staff at all levels as well as parents, students, and external agencies
  • Look after the reception area ensuring procedures and practices of the school are followed
  • Be responsible for the order and appearance of Reception
  • Ensure confidentiality of information, including information about current, past, and prospective students and staff in line with GDPR and the school policies

Requirements

  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Two recent professional references
  • Be committed and enthusiastic, flexible, punctual, and reliable
  • Previous experience working with school database software (SIMS) is desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to set and work to agreed targets and work schedules
  • Excellent attention to detail
