Job Description:

We’reresponsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas to our customers. This covers a large geographicalareaand our customers includes market rent, shared ownership and independent living communities on many estates or the whole estate. We also provide a reactionary service where wehave todeal with hazards which can be anything from dumped items to clearing snow on our independent living blocks.

We’realso responsible for the management of the trees and like toretain as many as possible or replant if any are removed. We believe that the trees play a big part in our communities by providing shade in the summer and promote a healthy wellbeing as well as offsetting our carbon footprint.

Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity forGrounds Maintenance Operativeto join our team covering the Yeovil area on a3 months contract.You will have the flexibility to plan your workload within a fortnightly round.

We’relooking for a proactive,great teamplayer and someone with a good eye for detailwho’slooking for a new challenge.

Working within a team,you’llbe responsible forthe upkeep of the external communal areas, grass,shrubsand hedges. You may alsobe requiredto undertake soft landscaping/minor tree work.

Whatyou’llneed:

  • Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience
  • PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable, but not essential)
  • NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable, but not essential)
  • A full driver’s licence (with towing licence desirable)

We’ll provide you with your uniform, a van fitted with a van vault, racking and inverter, a fuel card, company tablet & mobile as well as the PPEyou need to let you crack on with what you do best.
