Salesforce Technical Architect

Salary: £100,000 – 100,000 per year

Requirements

• We want significant experience designing and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions, with a strong understanding of platform capabilities, architecture patterns and technical governance.
• We are looking for someone who has acted as a lead Technical Architect on complex Salesforce programmes.
• We need extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform and its architectural capabilities.
• We need strong experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
• Exposure to one or more of Revenue Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Advanced CRM Analytics (CRMA) or Industry Clouds such as Health Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud or Education Cloud is highly desirable.
• Experience designing solutions involving Agentforce and emerging AI capabilities is important.
• We need a deep understanding of Salesforce security, access controls and platform governance.
• Strong knowledge of declarative and programmatic development approaches is required.
• Experience producing technical solution designs, HLD and LLD documentation, system architecture and technical landscape documentation is required.
• Experience with integration architecture, data architecture, data migration strategies, security architecture and permission models is required.
• Experience with Salesforce metadata deployment processes, release management, environment strategies, version control and deployment automation is required.
• Practical experience with Gearset and GitHub is highly desirable.
• Strong workshop facilitation, technical discovery and stakeholder management skills are required.
• We want someone who can translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Experience supporting QA, testing and successful UAT outcomes is required.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior technical team members is important.
• The ideal candidate will hold, or be working towards, Salesforce Certified Application Architect.
• Additional Salesforce architecture certifications would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• We lead the technical architecture for large-scale, complex Salesforce implementations.
• We define and govern solution architecture across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrated technologies.
• We provide technical leadership to development teams throughout project delivery.
• We design solutions in line with Salesforce best practice, scalability and security standards.
• We review technical designs and guide complex implementation challenges.
• We support deployment, release management and environment strategies.
• We collaborate with Solution Architects and project teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• We drive technical quality and architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• We contribute to internal technical communities, capability development and innovation initiatives.
• We support the adoption of AI-enabled tools and approaches to improve delivery efficiency and solution quality.
• We produce and govern technical architecture outputs, including end-to-end technical solution designs, HLD and LLD documentation, system architecture and technical landscape documentation.
• We create integration architecture and technical design decisions, data architecture and data migration strategies, security architecture and permission models, and ERDs and supporting architecture artefacts.
• We define architecture standards and technical design principles.
• We review and assure technical solutions produced by delivery teams.
• We provide technical coaching and guidance to developers and consultants.
• We support architectural decision-making across complex delivery programmes.
• We design and document Salesforce integration approaches and evaluate integration patterns and technologies.
• We work with both internal and external system users and requirements.
• We deliver solutions involving third‑party Salesforce applications and products.
• We integrate technologies such as document generation, e‑signature, CTI and industry‑specific platforms.
• We support QA, testing and successful UAT outcomes.
• We mentor and develop junior technical team members.
