Chief Engineer
East of England – Suffolk / Norfolk
Up to £90k basic, plus benefits
We are looking for an experienced FMCG Engineering Manager / Chief Engineer to join a rapidly growing FMCG manufacturer in East Anglia.
The role is diverse, combining team management and engineering strategy. You will work closely with other Senior Managers, have autonomy to achieve results, and manage a diverse maintenance function. This includes planning and delegating workloads, writing and maintaining PPM/CMMS, performance management, and budgetary control. You will also have full control of the engineering budget, including P&L.
In addition, you will be involved in project work with ongoing improvements and installations happening throughout the site. A good cultural fit and genuine teamwork are essential for success in our close‑knit site.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a maintenance team, planning and delegating workloads.
- Write and maintain PPM and CMMS processes.
- Conduct performance management and maintain budgetary control.
- Control the engineering budget and P&L.
- Engage in project work, ongoing improvements, and installations.
- Ensure a strong cultural fit within the team.
Qualifications
- FMCG experience.
- Proven background as a Senior Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, or Chief Engineer.
