About the Role
My Four Wheels is a 5‑star rated driving school with over 500 instructors nationwide. We are expanding across the UK and inviting candidates to begin a career as a Driving Instructor. No prior instructing experience is required; we provide full training to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
Earning Potential
Typical lesson rates average £38 per hour. Part‑time work (32 hours per week) can yield up to £39,000 per year, while full‑time schedules (40 hours) can exceed £50,000.
Flexibility and Workload
You decide your working hours—mornings, evenings, weekends, or a full‑time diary—allowing the role to fit around your life.
Local Work
Instructors usually teach within a 30‑minute radius of home, covering about 6–8 postcodes to minimise travel and maximise teaching time.
Training and Support
Our new Training Academy offers a structured route through DVSA Parts 1, 2 and 3. Training includes flexible online theory modules, in‑car coaching, live classroom sessions, and ongoing lesson plan resources.

- Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 3 years
- Have no more than 5 penalty points
- Have no bans in the last 5 years
- Be reliable, patient, and confident communicating with people
