Fork Lift Driver

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join a busy and well-established site based in Usk. This is a fantastic temp‑to‑perm opportunity for the right candidate, offering consistent full‑time hours and the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful trial period. This role would suit someone with previous forklift and yard experience who is looking for long‑term stability within a supportive and fast‑paced working environment.

This is a hands‑on role working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.

Duties

• Operating 2.5 tonne and 8 tonne counterbalance forklifts
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Moving materials safely around the yard
• Cleaning and preparing equipment ready for use
• Storing materials correctly and maintaining yard organisation
• Assisting with stock control and general yard duties
• Carrying out basic checks on forklift equipment and reporting faults
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Previous experience in a similar yard or warehouse environment
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Reliable and hardworking
• Ability to work as part of a team

£12.71 per hour

Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30
