About the Role

Shooters Hill Sixth Form College is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join our Inclusive Learning team. This is a full‑time, term‑time role (39 weeks) available as permanent or fixed‑term. Salary is Scale 3, starting at £25,659 (FTE £29,436).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and nurture students with their learning needs, working in partnership with the Inclusive Learning team.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff, students, parents and carers to facilitate learning and welfare.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of inclusive education strategies in line with the college’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships throughout the school community.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Highly motivated, empathetic and compassionate, with a strong desire to inspire and support students.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with staff, students, parents and carers.
  • Competent, collaborative team player who demonstrates enthusiasm for inclusive learning.
  • Passion for nurturing students’ academic and personal development.
