The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member to help give people a memorable day out. This location is in a rural area, so please consider how you will get there for work before applying.
Contract Details
Contract type: zero‑hour contract – we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
Contract duration: Fixed term contract until 01‑Feb‑2027. There are three contracts available.
Salary: £12.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café, ensuring each customer has an enjoyable time. You will greet guests, understand what they want, make recommendations, and keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. You may also assist the kitchen team with food preparation. We will provide induction, training in allergens and food safety, and any mentoring needed to help you succeed. You can pursue further professional training and development if desired.
