Highway Network Inspector

At Bracknell Forest Council we pride ourselves on delivering high‑quality services that make a real difference to our residents, businesses and visitors. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Highway Network Inspector to join our Highway Network Management Team.

The role is predominantly site‑based, with some administrative work from home. Flexible working arrangements support a healthy work‑life balance and may include remote work where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigating site enquiries through to conclusion
  • Ensuring compliance with street works regulations, codes of practice and local procedures
  • Inspecting work in progress and checking reinstatements
  • Minimising delays and disruption to highway users
  • Being the eyes and ears of the team out on the highway network

Requirements

  • Self‑motivated, organised and confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in highway inspections or street works
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
