Job Title: Assembler

Location: Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire

Salary: £25,500 – £27,400 depending on experience

Job Overview: The Renishaw Spectroscopy Products Division is looking for an Assembler to assist in assembling, testing, and inspecting products to meet specified standards and ensure a reliable supply that adheres to agreed delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and inspect products according to defined standards.
• Follow all relevant instructions, both written and verbal, and report any deficiencies observed in the process.
• Apply training skills to work efficiently and maintain focus on quality, ensuring product quality and production targets are met.
• Inform supervision of any issues that may affect product quality.
• Build low volume and special assemblies from drawings, without work instructions, and feedback any build issues to the design team.
• Work safely at all times, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and reporting any concerns immediately.

Key Requirements

• Demonstrable assembly experience.
• Good eyesight, with or without spectacles/contact lenses.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and dexterity, capable of handling various delicate component parts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to adapt and continuously improve.
• Confidence and ability to operate machinery, test equipment, and computer systems when necessary.
• Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting build instructions and technical drawings.

• Proactive work ethic and strong record of punctuality and attendance.
• Personable with excellent communication skills.
