Role Overview
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant will support pupils individually, in small groups and as a whole class to enable them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement. The TA will work as part of a supportive and ambitious team committed to helping every child reach their full potential and to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where staff and pupils thrive together.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and educational best practice
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children, parents and staff
Safeguarding and Checks
- All staff must demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Offices are required to pass qualified checks, including childcare disqualification, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), medical review and a right‑to‑work check.
- Reference checks and suitability to work with children are mandatory.
- Applicants must disclose any unspent conviction, caution, reprimand or warning under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
