SEND Teacher

Are you an SEND teacher looking for a new environment where you can develop your skills, earn qualifications, and work among a team of psychologists? Or, are you a primary teacher looking for a change of scenery this September and wanting to try something new?

EdEx has partnered with an independent SEND primary school based in the heart of Kensington & Chelsea. The school is looking to appoint an SEND Teacher for September 2026. This would be a full‑time, permanent posting in which you would be employed directly by the school.

SEND Teacher – Why is this school one of a kind?

SEND Teacher – What’s the role?

  • Class Teacher – SEND Teacher in MPS3 – UPS3 – Inner London, based in Kensington & Chelsea
  • Teach and support children with Autism and complex developmental needs
  • Work daily alongside Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Behaviour Specialists within a fully integrated therapeutic model
  • Lead a small class of pupils with SEND, supported by trained Teaching Assistants and a multidisciplinary team

SEND Teacher – Who are we looking for?

  • QTS is essential; applications without QTS will not be considered
  • Experience with SEND, either in a provision, hub, specialist school, or otherwise
  • Good understanding of EHCPs and the expectations of staff to deliver targets
  • Knowledge of TEACCH, PECS, ABA, or similar informed practices
  • Strong assessment and progress tracking ability
  • Confident, bubbly, strong communication skills
