1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 4)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil in a welcoming and supportive primary school based in the DE55 area. This is a full‑time role starting in September 2026, ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s school experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil
• Supporting both emotional wellbeing and academic development
• Building a strong, nurturing relationship to help the child feel safe and engaged
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team

Qualifications

• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing individual
• Experience working with primary‑aged children (preferably 1:1 or SEN support)
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• A proactive and positive approach to supporting learning
