About your next employer
You’ll be joining a progressive local authority within its Economic Development service. The team is committed to supporting economic growth by delivering innovative programmes that help businesses, social enterprises and residents improve their digital capabilities and access new opportunities.
About you
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or 4 years’ relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in economic development activities
- Experience delivering digital transformation or digital innovation programmes
- Experience managing externally funded projects
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building abilities
- Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to strict deadlines
What you’ll do
- Lead the delivery of digital innovation and transformation programmes
- Support businesses and social enterprises to adopt digital technologies
- Develop and manage digital business support initiatives and funding programmes
- Build partnerships with government departments, businesses, education providers and community organisations
- Manage externally funded projects, ensuring compliance with funding requirements
- Identify new funding opportunities to support economic development objectives
- Organise workshops, networking events and business engagement activities
- Prepare reports, business cases and committee papers
- Monitor project performance, budgets and programme outcomes
- Support the development of digital infrastructure and Smart District initiatives across the borough
