Autism Employment Coach

Responsibilities

• Deliver employment support to individuals with Neurodivergent conditions on a 1:1 basis, helping them to get into work and thrive in the workplace.
• Support employers to become more neurodivergent friendly by delivering training, workplace assessments and support with retention of staff.
• Home based with travel across North Yorkshire (including Harrogate, Darlington and Northallerton) to support caseloads, meet with employers and attend job fairs – driving essential.
• Full‑time role, Monday to Friday 9 – 5.
• FTC until March 2027 with a possibility of extension and opportunities to progress within the new structure, training and a supportive, passionate team.

Qualifications

• Passionate about autism or learning disabilities, with some experience (work related or lived experience).
• Experience in employment support such as a recruitment consultancy, careers advisor, employment advisor or similar role.
• Experience supporting people to achieve goals, e.g. working as a learning support assistant, teacher, key worker or support worker.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
