An ambitious secondary school in Islington is seeking a committed and creative Head of Design & Technology to lead its Art, Design and Technology Department on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
As Head of Design & Technology, you will lead teaching, learning, curriculum development and departmental improvement across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be responsible for raising standards, developing schemes of work, monitoring student progress and ensuring pupils benefit from an ambitious and well‑planned curriculum.
You will also lead and support teachers, trainee teachers and technicians within the department, ensuring high standards of professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement. Strong organisation, communication and leadership skills are essential.
Qualifications
The successful Head of Design & Technology will have Qualified Teacher Status, strong subject knowledge and a proven record of improving student outcomes. You will be confident using assessment data, planning intervention, developing staff and maintaining high expectations for behaviour, presentation and achievement.
