Afternoon Catering Supervisor: Front of House Leader

About The Role

Days of Working: Monday to Friday – 2:30pm to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Support in managing the Front of House day-to-day operations of catering services, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently
• Support in creating and planning daily menus that are innovative, cost-effective, and meet dietary requirements
• Monitor the quality of food and beverages, ensuring portion control, and maintaining high standards of presentation
• Lead and supervise the Front of House catering team, including training staff and managing their performance
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing client needs and resolving any issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain hygiene standards, and keep accurate records
• Order supplies, manage stock levels, and conduct inventory checks
• Help to control costs and ensure the catering service is financially viable

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a similar role within the Contract Catering industry is required
• Hold relevant qualifications, have knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety is a must
• A proven track record in supervising a team and leadership is crucial
• Demonstrate high standards and be well organised in all areas of Management
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills are essential

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively
• Ability to handle different situations and find practical solutions
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Good time-management and organisational abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Competent with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• While not always mandatory, having a food hygiene certificate (Level 2) is advantageous
