Consultant in Paediatrics – Scarborough Hospital
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant in Paediatrics at Scarborough Hospital.
The successful candidate will work across other sites within the Trust, including York, and have teaching and supervision responsibilities with specialty trainees.
We are looking for someone with general paediatric experience and a diabetes and endocrine interest to develop our existing services. The post offers flexibility and the opportunity to develop new or existing specialist areas.
Responsibilities include providing paediatric and neonatal care in a beautiful rural coastal setting, initial stabilisation of critically ill children and neonates, and working with emergency medicine and anaesthetic colleagues, our dedicated paediatric and neonatal Embrace transport team and regional tertiary teams.
The post includes a 1:8/1:9 non-resident on‑call rota and family accommodation close to the hospital if required.
