About the Role
As a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support and guidance to a primary age pupil with ASD and some physical needs. Your compassionate and patient approach will foster a positive learning environment where the pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Beyond your 1-1 support responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to assist across the wider school.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1-1 support to a primary age pupil with ASD and physical needs.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for the pupil to thrive academically and socially.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop personalised learning plans.
- Assist across the wider school, accommodating the varying needs of pupils aged 5 to 16.
- Contribute to the school’s nurturing and positive ethos.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
Role Requirements
- Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH and physical needs is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting learners with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
- A genuine passion for working in a special needs educational setting.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and embrace the school’s values.
