Pertemps Daventry is recruiting Engineering Technicians to join their client’s operations team in Eydon. This full-time position offers a salary between £26,000 and £28,000 per annum. Technicians will install and dismantle retail kiosks, promotional displays, and associated equipment across UK shopping centres. The working pattern requires travel to various sites with hands‑on tasks differing each day. Candidates should possess practical skills and a methodical approach to completing installations and removals. Experience with tools and a willingness to travel are essential for this role, which supports leading brands in creating retail and promotional spaces.
We are currently recruiting for an Installation Technician for one of our new clients in Daventry. The role involves working on retail installations across some of the UK’s busiest shopping centres, creating eye‑catching retail and promotional spaces for leading brands.
Responsibilities
- Install and dismantle retail kiosks, promotional displays and equipment in shopping centres across the UK.
- Load and unload company vehicles with installation equipment and materials.
- Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Travel nationwide for installations and collections, with occasional overnight stays.
- Support warehouse operations, including equipment preparation, stock organisation and inventory management.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety while delivering quality installations.
What We’re Looking For
- A practical, hands‑on individual with experience using tools, assembly work, carpentry or similar practical skills.
- Electrical and/or vinyl wrapping experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends and on a 5‑out‑of‑7 working pattern.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
- A reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
- A full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points (essential).
