Join Our Team as a Primary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools in Dorking. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping children achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities.
• Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence.
• Support children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where required.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting is desirable.
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
