We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools in Dorking. Key Responsibilities
- Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities.
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence.
- Support children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting is desirable.
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
