CNC Technician (Machining) Contract

Nature of Work

The Senior Technician (Machining) is responsible for preparing and proving out basic to complex programs and operating production runs within our high-tech machine shop, producing component parts for the aircraft interiors business.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately set up a wide range of Fanuc-controlled CNC milling and turning machinery to produce various component parts, from basic to complex, for low-batch, high-mix production runs.
• Create or edit basic CNC programs using G & M code instructions.
• Operate machines to produce parts in accordance with the daily production plan.
• Conduct self-inspection of repeat work using appropriate inspection equipment.
• Perform regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on machinery.
• Report production issues and defects to the Team Lead and production engineering team.
• Support the business in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency.
• Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and support teams.
• Maintain quality standards by understanding and adhering to the quality management system.
• Comply with all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized working environment by adhering to housekeeping, 5S, and FOD rules, ensuring a best-in-class workspace at all times.

Reports to: Team Leader (Day Shift)

Hours of Work: Flexible hours – 39 hours per week
