Job Overview

Are you a highly motivated occupational therapist with experience working in mental health, ready for your next challenge and keen to work and live in the beautiful region of Dumfries and Galloway?

We can offer this post at either Band 6 or Development into Band 6 level depending on level of clinical experience.

This role forms part of a wider Mental Health AHP team that provides specialist Occupational Therapy input to our community and inpatient mental health services across the region. The post is based with the Wigtownshire Community Mental Health Team but works across the West of the region. We provide a range of evidence based specialist assessments and interventions to adults as key members of the multi‑disciplinary community mental health team. As a small, supportive, innovative Mental Health Allied Health Professions Team we collaborate to deliver a programme of group work delivered both virtually and in person. Systems and processes are in place to ensure you will have regular supervision and opportunities for learning and development and involvement in projects to improve services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence based specialist assessments and interventions to adults.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to plan and deliver care.
  • Deliver group work programmes both virtually and in person.
  • Engage in regular supervision, learning and development opportunities, and projects to improve services.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid driving licence.
  • Have a degree level qualification as an occupational therapist.
  • Be registered with the HCPC.
