Are you an organised and efficient administrator who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and helping people? Do you thrive in a busy environment where accuracy, attention to detail and excellent customer service are essential? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a highly motivated Support Fund Administrator to join our friendly and dedicated Student Services team. Based in our busy and welcoming Advice Shop, you will play a vital role in ensuring students receive the financial support they need to succeed in their education. Working closely with our experienced Finance Advisers, you will help administer bursaries, free college meals, travel support and other financial assistance schemes that make a genuine difference to students’ lives.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and processes. You will be responsible for managing applications, checking eligibility evidence, maintaining accurate records, processing payments and producing reports using a range of systems including Microsoft Excel, EBS and our bespoke Pay My Student (PMS) platform. Accuracy is critical, but so is the ability to work efficiently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are naturally inquisitive and enjoy investigating discrepancies, identifying anomalies and finding solutions. A strong aptitude for numbers and confidence working with financial information and spreadsheets are essential, as you will help reconcile payments, monitor funding records and ensure compliance with funding regulations.
As one of the first points of contact for students and families seeking financial support, you will also need excellent communication and customer service skills. You will enjoy helping people, explaining processes clearly and ensuring every student receives a professional, supportive and positive experience.
What makes this role special is the team around you. You will join a knowledgeable, supportive and collaborative group of colleagues who are passionate about student success. There is a strong culture of sharing expertise, continuous improvement and helping one another to achieve the best outcomes for students. Whether you are currently working in administration, finance, customer service, reception or a related role, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop valuable and highly transferable skills within a professional and rewarding environment.
The post includes some evening and weekend working throughout the year on a rota basis and may require additional hours during particularly busy periods, especially during the autumn term.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that directly contributes to improving students’ lives, removing financial barriers and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
