We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Volvo Commercial Vehicle dealership in Stockton-on-Tees for an experienced HGV Technician to join their established workshop team. The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on Volvo HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Completing routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring compliance with DVSA standards
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards
- Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
Shift Pattern
- Early / Late shift rotation
- Every other Saturday required
- Structured working pattern with overtime opportunities available
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV licence advantageous but not essential
