We are hoping to recruit two members of staff to join our Facilities Team at Weymouth Hospital and its associated sites including Littlemoor Health Centre and Portland Hospital. This multi-skilled role works in a friendly hospital environment helping with cleaning, catering and porter duties.
This is a part‑time position of 23.5 hours per week. The hours are flexible to cover service demands and staff leave, ranging from 7 am to 8 pm each day depending on shifts. Some shifts may be short, such as 4 pm‑8 pm, or longer, such as 7 am‑2 pm, depending on weekly requirements.
The total contracted hours will be 23.5 per week, with opportunities to work additional hours as shifts arise to cover annual leave and sickness absence. Additional hours worked on weekends attract enhanced pay and a generous annual leave allowance.

Responsibilities
- Porter duties – Receiving deliveries and supporting in unloading deliveries such as stores, linen and catering items.
- Cleaning – Cleaning duties across the site to NHS cleaning standards, including weekly duties supporting the cleaning of clinical areas, toilets and bin emptying.
- Catering – Supporting our catering service within the main hospital kitchen; basic duties such as making fresh sandwiches and salads.
- Other duties – A full UK driving licence is desired as you may be required to use the hospital vehicle to deliver meals to a nearby site.
- Full training, support and uniform will be provided, with shadowing current experienced staff.
