£28,000 per annum with the potential to progress up to £33,000 per annum.
Company Bonus Scheme: £1,500 per annum based on your performance & company performance. OTE earnings for year 1: £29,500.
Full Time, permanent role. No teaching experience required – full training, support and development provided.
UK/EU Driving Licence and own transport is essential for the role. 11+ weeks paid holiday a year. You’ll teach in multiple schools across a regional area each week, with the approximate centre point of this region where the role is advertised. Fuel contributions in addition to salary.

Our band leaders often come from diverse backgrounds, so you might not currently be working in a music-related role or have any teaching experience. Responsibilities
- Teach groups of primary-age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
- Give children their first opportunity to learn an instrument – drums, guitar, bass, keyboard or vocals.
- Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, with support from central teams.
- Be a rock and pop star role‑model, empowering and supporting children to deliver live performances at end‑of‑term concerts.
- Help children develop their self‑belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
- Build relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
- Be prepared for highly active days, including driving between schools and loading/unloading band equipment.
Qualifications
- Competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals.
- Enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our extensive training programme before starting timetable.
- Resilience to work in a role with great moments and challenges, often within the same day.
- Confidence to be yourself at work, proud of your uniqueness, and communicate equally well with children, teachers and parents.
- Integrity to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Organised, independent worker with good time management and administration skills.
- UK/EU driving licence and own transport to move equipment between schools.

Note: £28,000 per annum is effective from 1st October 2026. If you start before this date, the starting salary will be £27,000 per annum until 1st October 2026, when the pay increase takes effect.
