Head of Accounts Payable
Hybrid (3 office / 2 home) Up to £85,000 + benefits Axon Moore are partnering with a major logistics organisation in Anglesey to recruit an exceptional Head of Accounts Payable. This is a high-impact leadership role within a complex, high-volume environment, ideal for someone who thrives on driving transformation and elevating team performance. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the AP function, leading a large team of 25 and spearheading the business’s journey toward digitalisation, and the use of AI-driven tools. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop a large Accounts Payable team
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance
- Lead on automation initiatives, including AI-enabled solutions and workflow optimisation
- Oversee all AP operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls
- Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Deliver insightful reporting and KPIs to senior finance leadership
- Champion best practice and modernisation across the AP function
About You
- Proven experience leading a large AP team ideally of 20+ in a high-volume environment
- Strong track record of delivering automation, process improvement, and digital transformation
- Confident working with AI-driven tools or advanced AP technologies
- Inspirational leadership style with the ability to drive engagement and performance
- Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex industries is advantageous
