Position Details

• Grade: Band D SCP 9 – 17 – £27,255 – £31,022 per annum
• Salary: Actual Salary £24,843 – £28,397 per annum
• Hours: 37 hours per week, term time + 2 weeks

Shireland CBSO Academy is an 11‑18 Academy which opened in September 2023. It is the first state school in the country to partner with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and serves all of Sandwell and the wider West Midlands. The academy welcomes students who have a passion or talent for music, even if they do not already play an instrument.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals and small groups of identified students to raise attainment and improve behaviour.
• Support student development in line with the academy’s partnership with the CBSO, encouraging musical engagement and personal growth.
• Adhere to safeguarding and welfare policies, completing all required DBS checks and maintaining a safe learning environment.
