Overview

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Blyth that’s looking for a caring and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. You’ll be supporting pupils across a range of year groups, so if you enjoy variety and love helping children grow in confidence, this could be just the role for you.

No SEND experience? No problem. What’s important is that you’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant before and are ready to bring enthusiasm, patience and a positive attitude into the classroom.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting teachers across different year groups from EYFS through to KS2
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to support learning
  • Helping to create a positive, engaging classroom environment
  • Encouraging pupils to build confidence, independence and resilience
  • Supporting classroom routines and daily activities

We’re looking for someone who

  • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is flexible and happy to work across different age groups
  • Has strong communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is happy to apply for one
