- Contract: Permanent – 45 hrs per week

- Shift: Monday to Friday (9‑hour shifts)
What you’ll do
You will drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.
Your shifts run Monday to Friday with 45 hour working weeks and 9‑hour shifts per day typically starting at 7/8am.
You will make sure cages, pallets, freight, stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you, at others you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks may form part of your day.
You will be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and completing a defect report if necessary.
Key Role Responsibilities
We trust drivers to plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so there’s plenty of time on the road but you’ll still be home at the end of each 9‑hour shift.

Qualifications
- Class 1 driving licence
- Completed required DCPC training hours, or working towards them
- Excellent knowledge of road transport laws and commitment to safe use of roads
