Year 1 Teacher King’s Lynn

About the role:

Justteachers are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly primary school near King’s Lynn from after May half‑term until the end of the summer term. This short‑term role is ideal for someone who brings energy, creativity, and a strong understanding of early learning.

You will be delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum, supporting early reading and phonics development, and fostering a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Year 1 Classroom Teaching, Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
• Assessment & Progress Tracking, Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Classroom Management, Maintain a calm, positive, and purposeful learning environment
• Ensure high‑quality teaching across all core and foundation subjects

Pre‑requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching KS1, ideally Year 1
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
• A warm, engaging, and resilient approach
• Ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Two recent, relevant references
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
