Overview

We are looking for a Project Worker to join our team at Bethany Christian Centre, a supported residential community for men who are homeless, providing assistance to individuals in their recovery from addiction.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in the day‑to‑day running of the residential unit
  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents in overcoming addiction
  • Enable residents to live independently through support planning and assessments
  • Deliver group‑work sessions and related key activities

Qualifications and Experience

  • SVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience in a residential/housing support setting
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability
  • Competence in Microsoft Office tools
  • Lived experience of addiction and recovery, or experience supporting someone in recovery, would be an advantage

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Membership of the Preferred Vetting Group (PVG) scheme is required
  • Right to work in the UK and able to provide a reference from a church minister or leader endorsing an active Christian faith and commitment
  • Only male applicants will be considered to reduce barriers of access for all‑male residents
  • Post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010 due to the Christian faith of the organization

Employment Terms
